Restoring your treasured images

We love this side of our work in the studios and our clients are never short of amazed at what can be done with an old photograph. Expertly and lovingly restored, they really do make the perfect gift for that special occasion. See below for just a few examples of what we can do to bring your memories back to life.

Fading

Possibly the most common problem encountered with photographs is fading and light damage. This picture, taken circa 1990 had suffered light damage from sitting on a window sill for a number of years. As you can see, even though the damage occured in patches this was rectifed digitally and reprinted using new UV stabilised inks to ensure it can still be enoyed for many years to come.

Creases and Tears

Often people think that their creased and torn pictures will be 'unrepairable'. The gentleman who was the subject of this picture had those same concerns, not wanting to lose any of the picture by 'cropping out' the badly damaged areas. The picture as it came to us was only 4inches by 3 inches so it was scanned at a very high resolution before being meticulously restored and reprinted at over 3 times it's original size.

Re-colouring
